Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about bringing Hooked to your event

Frequently Asked Questions List

Who shares the event link and code with guests?

You do — that's your main job before the event. Hooked generates all the materials (event code, join link, QR code, AI-written invitation messages), but you're the one who sends them to your guests via WhatsApp, email, RSVP page, or social media.

Who prints and displays the poster?

You do. Hooked provides an editable poster template in your dashboard with your event's QR code already embedded. You customize it if you like, download it, print it (home printer or print shop), and put it up at the entrance. No designer needed.

What does Hooked actually provide vs. what do I have to do?

Hooked provides: QR code, unique event code, join link, editable poster template, AI invitation messages, live matching and chat for guests, and a post-event analytics recap. You provide: 5 minutes to fill in your event details, sending the link/code to your guests beforehand, and printing + displaying the poster at the venue.

How much does it cost?

Events with up to 30 singles are completely free — no credit card required. Paid plans start for larger events. See the pricing page for all tiers.

What happens to guest data after the event?

All profiles and chat data are automatically deleted when the event ends. Guests control their own profiles. We don't store or sell personal information.

Is there a dating app that works at parties and events?

Yes — Hooked is built specifically for this. It works at any event where singles are present: parties, weddings, conferences, bar nights, community events, and more. Each event has its own private pool of profiles, so you only see people at the same event as you.

How is Hooked different from Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge?

Hooked is event-scoped rather than location-based. You don't endlessly swipe through strangers — you only see singles at the specific event you're attending. This creates natural conversation starters and guarantees you can meet your matches in person immediately. Plus, all data auto-deletes after the event for privacy.

Can I use Hooked at my wedding for single guests?

Absolutely. Wedding planners and couples use Hooked to help their single guests connect. Setup takes 5 minutes, and you can share the QR code on table cards, in the wedding program, or on a poster near the bar. Single guests join at their own pace and match with other singles at the wedding.

Does Hooked work for professional networking at conferences?

Yes. For conference events, Hooked offers a dedicated business networking mode with professional profiles and AI-generated summaries. Attendees can use both dating and business modes simultaneously with completely separate profiles, matches, and conversations.

What types of events work best with Hooked?

Hooked works great at house parties, bar and club nights, weddings, conferences, community events, alumni gatherings, cultural organization mixers, and festivals. Any event where singles are present and might want to connect is a good fit — from intimate 20-person dinners to large events with hundreds of attendees.

How do event organizers set up Hooked?

Sign up at hooked-app.com, fill in your event details (name, date, venue, expected attendance), and you're done — it takes about 5 minutes. Hooked generates a unique event code, QR code, printable poster, and AI-written invitation messages. Share these with your guests and display the poster at the venue.

Is Hooked free?

Hooked is free for attendees — singles never pay to use the app. For organizers, events with up to 30 singles are completely free with no credit card required. Paid plans are available for larger events with additional features.

What are the best dating apps for meeting people in real life?

Hooked is specifically designed for real-life meetings at events. Unlike traditional dating apps where you match with strangers online, Hooked only works at events where you're already in the same room as other singles. You scan a QR code at the event, browse other attendees, and match with people you can meet face-to-face right away.
