Hooked is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all users. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and the consequences for unacceptable conduct.

1. Our Commitment

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, or any other characteristic.

2. Expected Behavior

All Hooked users are expected to:

• Be respectful: Treat all users with dignity and respect
• Be honest: Provide accurate information in your profile and conversations
• Be considerate: Remember that other users are real people with feelings
• Communicate clearly: Express yourself honestly while being mindful of others
• Respect boundaries: Accept when someone is not interested and move on gracefully
• Stay safe: Meet in public places and trust your instincts
• Report issues: Help keep our community safe by reporting violations

3. Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

3.1 Harassment

• Unwanted sexual attention or advances
• Persistent messaging after being asked to stop
• Intimidation, stalking, or following
• Threatening or violent language
• Deliberate intimidation

3.2 Discrimination

• Hate speech or discriminatory remarks
• Offensive comments related to personal characteristics
• Promotion of discrimination or prejudice

3.3 Inappropriate Content

• Sexually explicit or pornographic content
• Violent or graphic imagery
• Content promoting illegal activities
• Spam or unsolicited commercial content

3.4 Deception

• Impersonating others or using fake identities
• Using photos that are not your own
• Misrepresenting your age, relationship status, or intentions
• Catfishing or romantic scams

3.5 Privacy Violations

• Sharing others' personal information without consent
• Screenshots or recordings of private conversations without permission
• Doxxing or revealing someone's identity

4. At Events

When attending events where Hooked is used, please remember:

• Respect the event venue and its staff
• Follow event-specific rules and guidelines
• Be mindful of your alcohol consumption
• Respect personal space and physical boundaries
• Leave when asked to do so by event staff or other attendees
• Report any concerning behavior to event organizers

5. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

• Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a warning
• Content Removal: Inappropriate content will be removed
• Event Removal: Immediate removal from the current event
• Temporary Suspension: Account suspension for 24 hours to 30 days
• Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from Hooked for severe or repeated violations
• Legal Action: Illegal behavior may be reported to law enforcement

6. Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct:

• In-App: Use the report feature on any profile or message
• Email: Contact us at support@hooked-app.com
• At Events: Notify event staff or organizers immediately

All reports are reviewed within 24-48 hours. Reports can be submitted anonymously.

7. Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you can appeal by contacting support@hooked-app.com. Appeals are reviewed by a human within 72 hours.

8. Safety Tips

Stay safe when using Hooked:

• Keep personal information private until you feel comfortable
• Meet in public places for initial meetings
• Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting
• Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, leave
• Never share financial information or send money
• Report suspicious behavior immediately

9. Emergency Contacts

If you are in immediate danger:

• Emergency Services: Call your local emergency number (911 in US, 112 in EU, 100 in Israel)
• Event Staff: Contact event security or organizers
